Daihuku and a cup of hot Japanese tea. Daihuku is rice cake stuffed with sweet bean jam.Today is Setsubun, one of Japanese customs. On the evening of this day, Japanese conduct a brief rite called “mame maki”(literally, bean throwing) to drive away evil spirits and disease.
